Unexpected things happen often, or better said: there’s an amusing story behind Marco’s abstract paintings. His first experience with the pouring technique originally stemmed from a misunderstanding with a client. Marco was commissioned to create 20 paintings for an office complex but later found out he had only 6 weeks to complete them—far too short to create a series of pop art pieces. He opted for the pouring technique and initially signed the first works hesitantly as O’Cram (an anagram of Marco). During the office complex’s opening ceremony, the Austrian Minister of Economics mistakenly introduced him as an Irish artist. Marco found the mix-up highly amusing, and demand for his paintings grew. He then added the technique to his repertoire, this time as Marco.
